The Hieronimus & Co. Yellow Submarine Journal
"Act Naturally" by Shawn Huff
"The Official Price Guide to the Beatles" by Perry Cox: Latest edition of this very useful and well-done book.
"Beatletoons, The Real Story Behind The Cartoon Beatles" by Mitchell Axelrod: First behind-the-scenes look at the making of the beloved ABC (U.S.) Beatles cartoon series. Includes interviews with the animators who worked on the show, lots of rare pictures and graphics (in-production drawings and ads for the show), plus an episode guide. Brings back a lot of great memories. Maybe this'll get Apple to release these shows on tape.

"Beatles Undercover" by Kristofer Engelhardt : A very detailed, in-depth history of the Beatles' contributions to others' recordings. Outstanding reference, an extremely worthy addition to any Beatle bookshelf.
"The Beatles: A Diary"
by Barry Miles: A 30-year chronicle of the group. Intro by Paul McCartney.
"The Importance of the Beatles" by Adam Woog : A history of the Beatles for school children.

In My Life : Encounters With the Beatles by Robert Cording (Editor), Shelli Jankowski-Smith (Editor), E. J. Miller-Laino (Editor) : Encounters with the Fabs....in real life and in the imagination of various authors.
"The Beatles Records on Vee-Jay" by Bruce Spizer: Brand new (1998) exhaustive history of the Beatles on that label.
"A Cellarful of Noise" by Brian Epstein: Brian's "autobiography," written with the late Derek Taylor. The "Fab" version of how Brian brought fame to the Fabs. This new edition features an introduction written by Martin Lewis.
"The Beatles" by Hunter Davies: OK, so even the Beatles admitted it was a whitewash, but it's still the group's "authorized" bio. And it's amazing how much of their '60s charm still comes through. Reading it is like traveling in a time capsule. If you want an idea of the charm of it all during the original days of Beatlemania (or want to relive it), you'll want to read this. Also available in unabridged tape edition.
"Classic Rock Albums: Abbey Road/Let It Be/The Beatles" by Peter Doggett: In-depth recounting of the history of the two albums. Especially nice: reviews of the albums from that period, not all complimentary.
"The Beatles Forever" by Nicholas Schaffner: Another book that conveys the charm of the Fab Four. Schaffner's book is a complete historical overview, though the mid-'70s, of the Beatle phenomenon, but it's also a lot of fun and has some neat graphics included. Certain Beatle authors who "crank 'em out" could take a few lessons from the substantive quality of this book.
"The Beatles (20th Century Composers)" by Allan Kozinn : The most thorough analysis of why the Beatles became what they did. Kozinn is a classical music writer for the New York Times who shows why the Fabs are classics in their own right, with an intricate look at their music.
"The Complete Idiot's Guide to the Beatles (Complete Idiot's Guides)" by Richard Buskin, Allan Kozinn: A basic guide to the Fabs.
"The Day John Met Paul" by Jim O'Donnell: Detailed accounting of the day that changed musical history.
"Beatles at the Movies" by Roy Carr: Excellent history of the films of the Beatles, especially the sections on the movies, like "Up Against It," that never came about.
"A Hard Day's Write: The Stories Behind Every Beatles Song" by Steve Turner: Great, well-researched book with details of how many Beatle songs were written. Was the first book to include the famous "Lucy in the sky" drawing. New, revised edition includes the Anthology.
"The Beatles Memorabilia Price Guide"
by Jeff Augsburger, Marty Eck, Rick Rann
: An excellent guide to Beatle memorabilia.
"Ticket to Ride : The Extraordinary Diary of the Beatles Last Tour" by Barry Tashian: Charming memories by the leader of Barry and the Remains, an opening act on that last tour, of what those crazy days were like.
"John, Paul & Me; Before the Beatles, the True Story of the Very Early Days" (with CD) by Len Garry: One of the original Quarrymen remembers those early days.
"Head to Toe a Novel" & "Up Against It : A Screenplay for the Beatles" by Joe Orton: If you're not familiar with it, "Up Against It" was written for a Beatles movie that never was filmed. This edition includes on the history of the Beatles' involvement with "Up Against It."
"The Beatles Complete Scores": Transcriptions of the Beatles' exact musical arrangements.
