Steve, Re the link you provide to download Twin Freaks – 7digital operate this on behalf of EMI. On their webpage they provide advice on how to get the WMA files on to your ipod – i.e. download the files write them to a CD and then use itunes to rip the CD and then drop them on your ipod. A little ironic bearing in mind the ongoing dispute between Apple and Apple. Regards,
Paul Swift
Hey Steve, This is interesting: yesterday I was talking to someone at the Brazilian EMI and she told a CD version of the Twin Freaks album WILL be released later this year. I asked if she was sure about it - since I had read it was a vinyl/online release only - and she said it was on the document she just got. Now, I don't know if it is a worldwide release. But it is cool, isn't it? Cheers!

Just discovered Paul McCartney's 'Twin Freaks' version of Really Love You was reviewed on last week's Roundtable with Steve Lamacq on BBC 6 Music. ... it made for quite interesting listening mainly as Steve Lamacq had no idea who the 'guest vocalist' (!) was... The panel all seemed to know, on the other hand, and were very positive about it. Only one of them didn't like it. Good to hear some positive comments - the panel seemed to be able to review the record as a record, regardless of who was 'behind' it. The member of the public on the phone (they always have one) said he 'loved it', giving it 7/10. In my honest opinion, it's not my cup of tea particularly, but I always admire Paul for doing new things. I never thought the original song was particularly strong, so I doubt I'd listen to the Twin Freaks version very often. Be interested to hear the rest of Twin Freaks though...

TWIN FREAKS - 05.05.2005 TWIN FREAKS NEW SINGLE -\'REALLY LOVE YOU\' RELEASED ON GRAZE - 6TH OF JUNE 6th of June sees the release of the debut single ‘Really Love You’ from TWIN FREAKS on the new underground label Graze Records. ‘Really Love You’, a twelve inch only release, is the debut from TWIN FREAKS, featuring the studio wizardry of London based DJ and Producer The Freelance Hellraiser AKA Roy Kerr. Best known for his unforgettable mash-up the 2002 bootleg ‘A Stroke Of Genius’. Hellraiser has since become one of the country’s most sought after remixers and last year caught the eye of music legend Paul McCartney. In the summer of 2004 Hellraiser toured Europe with Paul McCartney, opening each show with a twenty-five minute set of remixed McCartney tunes, which cumulated in the famous headline performance at Glastonbury. ‘Really Love You’ is a remix of the original track taken from Paul McCartney’s 1997 hit album Flaming Pie. TWIN FREAKS are set to take this McCartney classic to a new audience in clubs across the country this summer. TWIN FREAKS are in the process of putting the finishing touches to their first full album to be released later in the year. ‘Really Love You’ and ‘Lallula’ are just a taste of what’s to come.

I just got this from the Brazilian EMI. Never heard of it before:"Another project by McCartney is 'Twin Freaks.' Kept in secret until now, the group also has the British producer/DJ The Freelance Hellraiser, also known as Roy Kerr. The two met on the 2004 summer tour, when the DJ opened the concerts with a 25 minute set of remixed oldies.
"Twin Freaks" will be released on june 13th and will be available only in digital formats and on a vinyl 12'' single. The first single is "Really Love You", a remix of the Flaming Pie track. The song will be released on June 6th. The project expects to take the McCartney classics to nightclubs around the world. "To me, it isn't clear when the album is coming out. At the end the e-mail said: "A full album by Twin Freaks is expected by the end of the year", so I guess this is just an EP. Cheers.
