New book recalls Beatles years in Germany

(07/18/2008) From Sven in Germany:

Dear Steve,

I'd like to take this opportunity to let our international readers know about a tremendous book release here in Germany: Since March this year a new standard book is putting a comprehensive light on the relationship between Beatles and Germany during the 1960's. It is titled "Komm, Gib Mir Deine Hand - Die Beatles in Deutschland 1960-1970" (in English "Come on, give me your hand - The Beatles in Germany 1960-1970"). "Komm, Gib mir Deine Hand" is also the title of the German Version of the Beatles hit "I Want To Hold Your Hand".

Two German Beatles fans Thorsten Knublauch and Axel Korinth came three years ago together to start their writing of a comprehensive work about the Beatles and their relationship to Germany during the 1960's.

Anyway we are - somehow - still excited about this work.

As well the two released an extra feature on Stuart Sutcliffe's last years of life, knowing that the interest is high. This article can be downloaded from our site.

Please refer to our "Komm, Gib mir Deine Hand"-Microsite with our review of the fact book and the Sutcliffe feature - both in English language ... [ http://www.germanbeat.info/komm-gib-mir-deine-hand.html#en ]

Thanks and best regards,
Sven.
