"With the permission of Apple Corps Limited, the parent company of The Beatles, Bloomingdale's was able to create a quality, one of a kind Beatles shopping experience for Beatles fans and music buffs of all ages. This also supports Bloomingdale's brand strategy to our customers by providing them a unique and diverse shopping experience."
Bloomingdale's is thrilled to be offering their customers the chance to purchase "The Beatles Anthology" book from the exclusive Bloomingdale's Beatles Shop published from Chronicle Books. The 350,000-word book comprises the detailed memories from John, Paul, George and Ringo telling their own story. John Lennon's account in the book has been drawn from the scores of interviews that the late Beatle conducted. In co-operation with Yoko Ono Lennon, Apple Corps Limited. has spent several years researching the world's media libraries to accumulate every John Lennon interview available. The book tells The Beatles' story from their childhood up to their break-up of the band in 1970.

I've just been told by Apple that a special launch for "The Beatles Anthology" book will take place at a brand new Beatles Store at Bloomingdale's in New York City.
At midnight on October 4, Bloomingdale's store at 59th & Lexington Avenue will offer the first editions of the book, at the opening of their Beatles Store. The store will offer high-end clothing and other merchandise featuring The Beatles' images, such as hand-painted jackets, shirts, towels, and other items. For the moment, this is the only Bloomingdale's store which will carry the items, though it is expected that the store will open other such outlets in their stores around the country. The items will also be available on the store's website, http://www.bloomingdales.com (after October 4).
