"THE BILL HALEY TAPES!", "THE 'BE-BOP-A-LULA' GENE VINCENT TAPES", "THE ELVIS TAPES, VOL. 2" (Jerden): (12/21/97) These three spoken word discs feature some interesting bits of audio history. Haley gives a very interesting in-depth chat, including the roots of rock, and proves to be quite knowledgeable about musical history in a chat from May 31, 1966. A humble sounding Vincent in 1957 talks about his rise to fame. Both the Vincent and Haley discs include music, as well. The Elvis disc includes interviews from 1957, 1960 and 1965, including a famous meeting with Peter Noone in which Elvis and the Memphis Mafia seem to be teasing Noone. The disc also includes comments from Roy Orbison, Pat Boone, Frankie Laine and Rick Nelson about Elvis. All interviews come from the collection of disc jockey Red Robinson.(Dec. '97)
