YARDBIRDS...ON AIR (BBC/EMI/FRANCE): It's always nice to see a legitimate source go the bootleggers one better. In this case, this disc has 27 perfect quality BBC broadcasts from 1965-68 featuring the Beck and Page lineups (sadly, no Clapton). The differences between the legit versions and the live ones are quite interesting, to be sure. It's always nice to hear another version of one of our favorite songs, "Goodnight Sweet Josephine." Recommended. (March '96)
