1991:
Dec. 1-17: George Harrison begins a short 12-concert tour in Japan with Eric Clapton and his band. The repertoire includes several Beatle songs, among them "I Want To Tell You," "Taxman" and "Piggies," plus several songs from his solo career. "All George has got to do, essentially, is walk out on stage and strum an acoustic guitar and we'll do everything else," Eric Clapton told Rolling Stone. "There's nothing for him to worry about. I put the idea to him and he was delighted and scared at the same time. He was really scared to death. He changed his mind about five different times."
December: Harrison files suit against the U.S. tabloid The Globe for a story that portrayed him as a Nazi sympathiser. George's lawyer says, "That is totally false. George deplores Nazism and everything that Hitler stood for."
